Patience makes it all worth it...

I got to Weight Watchers last night, after a very disappointing gain the previous week.  Having felt that I sabotaged this current week, I was going in with little expectations, and preparation to just fail.  However, Tammy, the lady who weighs me in each week started laughing.  My first thought was "her computer must have just froze..awesome."  Then I looked at her again and thought "OMG I went up..."  She looked at me and said "How did you do that?"  ....yep...the later thought was starting to rear it's ugly head at me...

She continued on, though:  "You dropped 4.6 pounds!  What did you do!?"  My jaw hit the counter.

So far, my total weight loss from Weight Watchers is 26.4 lbs.  Mind you, I previously had dropped 3 lbs just before I joined up, which brings me to a total of 29.4.  I'm .6 lbs away from my 30 lb mark.  As I sat in the meeting, I just wanted to cry I was so happy!

As you can see (maybe not too much of a difference between the middle and the right picture) I've gone from a size 16/18 to a size 12/14 pant.  I have literally thrown out every single pair of pants I owned because I couldn't keep any of them up.  I yelled last night in sheer joy because  (as trite as this might sound) for the first time in my life, I had space between my legs when I stood up...which has never EVER happened to be before.

Last night just reminded me of how good I feel after dropping so much weight, and encouraged me to keep going.  I still, personally  (without pictures) don't see a major change, however, I know that it's there in other ways.  But I know that I can keep going- and turning back now will be a lot more painful if I let it go.

:-)
