When they say that diet is just "die" with a 't' at the end, they're right. When one joins up a group that offers support systems and direction, as well as the ability to make a life-style change, that's where success begins.
Having been doing Weight Watchers for 11 weeks now, I have to say, being 17 lbs lighter and one pant size smaller has been nothing but awesome-ness. As of late, I have had my temptations and, with the ultimate craziness of the last 3 weeks with musicals: learning music, late-night performances, crap snack foods loaded with sugar and fat, and WAY too much Starbucks... well... let's just say the loss hasn't been stellar.
But I've found some really neat ways to add fun things into day to day meals and such. The best one is my favorite egg-salad sandwiches. I hard-boiled an entire dozen eggs to keep as snacks or as a small protein breakfast. But with a little "portion" control, it inspired me to be able to use them to chop one up and use a small bit of fat free mayonnaise, some salt, pepper, mustard, and have my own portion of egg salad for a sandwich.
Love the fact that it's been so helpful to learn how to make little changes and still enjoy the things I like to eat and (maybe not see yet) feel the differences in when I exercise, or just do little things like cleaning, walking around, putting on clothes... 17.6 lbs down. What I would like to reach would be another 15-20 lbs before Andy and Kelly's wedding. We're getting there. :-)
