Here we go again...
Yesterday I signed up for Weight Watchers... third time in my life doing this. Now, I don't mean to sound like it never worked. Senior year of college, I did it for a few months, and while I didn't do too much with it, I still lost about 25 lbs and fell down to a size 10 pant. Which was AWESOME. However, I attribute the majority of it to simply not eating much, working my stress off at the gym and lugging a cello across campus every day...oh yeah, and add 11 classes on to it with a job and a senior recital...stress played a HUGE part in that weight loss.
The next time I joined up was about 2 years ago. I lost 30 lbs. It was fantastic to be back in a size 12 pant, and try to keep working my way down. Now, what ever happened once I lost those 30 lbs, I don't think I'll ever know. Was it my own pathetic slacker mentality? Was it something about my body that just decided to stop dropping weight? I'll never know. But it got REALLY aggravating.
So flash back to the present: Sunday, January 9th, 10:00am. I stepped foot back into the door of my local Weight Watchers arena, somewhat ready to start the fight over again. Still sore from the last bout of drastic weight gain with my last WW experience, I'm cautiously optimistic, but will follow program, do what is asked of me, and eat all the fruits and veggies I possibly can. Yesterday I did pretty good. Today I'm right on track... and I have my small fruit collection sitting on my office desk.
5% goal: 10 lbs.
10% goal: 20 lbs.
points allowed each day: 29.
Brides' maids dresses arrive in February, alterations will take place sometime in May or June and come July, I will not be wearing the size that was originally ordered for me. Period.
